I find no real surprise in Conrad's review of Appleyard's
book.  The book cover gives away his attitudes in an
instant, and the titles and descriptions of his other
books make them explicit ("In a less-than-subtle anti-science
polemic...").  That he doesn't mention that cryonics can be
paid for with life insurance is Just One More Thing.  Sigh.
