Some changes at Alcor:

At Alcor's July 10 Board of Director's meeting, several changes in officers
and administration were made.

Previously, Ralph Whelan was both Secretary and Vice-President. Whelan
remains Secretary; but David Pizer is now Vice-President.
Michael Riskin is now the Treasurer, replacing Pizer.
Carlos Mondragon becomes the Director representative on the Patient Care
Fund Investment Advisory Committee, replacing Riskin.

Ralph Whelan will be doing magazine editing and various promotional/PR
activities from his home for the most part, allowing him to focus on that
aspect of the job. He won't have e-mail for a while there; so if you have
something for him or for the magazine, send it to one of us here at Alcor.
I suggest or as the best bets. We'll let
you know when Ralph is back up on direct e-mail. I think he will also be
getting a separate business/e-mail phone number at home; and we'll pass
that along as well.

David Pizer is now volunteering at Alcor about 5-6 hours per day,
assisting me (and other staff) with various business and administrative
tasks. So far this means that a lot more work is getting done by all of
us. Maybe the backlog that has built up since our move to Arizona can
finally be cleared up. It looks like we'll have at least two other
volunteers working here during August, which will help immensely.

And as related in an earlier posting, Mark Voelker, Ph.D. is now Alcor's
Director of Research (volunteer). Mark is currently planning Alcor's
first series of formal experiments in our new Arizona location, which we
hope to begin by early fall. More details to come as we get further
along.
