Funny, I get into trouble on this list for writing things like that.

BTW, Extropianism apparently doesn't exist any more as of about a year ago. 
I suspect the arrival of "middle age," with the conquest of aging and death 
nowhere on the horizon, has forced many former Extropians to perform a 
painful reality check. As I discussed with a couple of Alcor members last 
Sunday, you begin to understand on an emotional level your rapid drawdown of 
remaining life expectancy when you meet people literally half your age who 
count as "adults."
