Subject: Jetpacks and Nausea

I so totally agree with the unfulfilled future notions that Mark Plus presents,
that I can't stand to read a book about it. Why compound my misery? It is
already too much that I have seen it gradually fail to transpire, over the
recent decades. If there is something we can learn from all that verbiage,
Mark, to allow us or some small part of humanity to rectify the problem within
the next decade or two, be so kind as to share that information in a concise
format - if it is valid, I'm sure millions will pick up on it.

Having once thought for sure I'd be able to take a vacation trip to the moon by
now, for only the cost of a month's labor or so, I can only shake my head at
seeing people pay the Russians $25M for a few days on the space station. I was
realistic enough to not expect replicators or transporters by now, but hell -
why not a jetpack? And if we had one, the FAA would ground it and Homeland
Security would impound it. Can we move on now to something more pleasant, like
planting vegetables?
