DVD stands for digital versatile disk. Most people may use them for video, 
but they have other uses, such as storing a while library of books as text. 
I think it is appropriate for this discussion that this fact is introduced, 
as our present society relies more and more on electronic storage of data, 
and no doubt the future will be even more so.
