Subject: RE: airline fuel madness

As a guy who flies over 200k miles a year, this is no big deal.

1) Are airlines so stupid, since the fuel is left over? Duh: Fuel is heavy,
more weight=more fuel used
2) This is a huge problem that will cause a crash: Come on, there are
extremely complex algorithms for fuel loading that are triple checked. So
they have to "jump" in front of line because we had to circle due to
weather, no ATO is going to let a plane crash due to low fuel.
3) Increase in "emergency landings": Come on, here's another example of
media over dramatizing something. Have you ever landed in a jet with
"emergency" low levels of fuel? I have, it's no different than any other
landing, maybe a quicker turn into the final approach.

Why the heck has this been a thread for 2 days now?
Greg

A future media quote "millions die every year due to airlines greed".
