You may be right, or perhaps they can vitrify the head and do a less
expensive technique to the rest of the body.

I don't know if he was decapitated.  I really can't say whether he was
suspended at Alcor.  Decapitation might make sense for full body cases
if it helps to give a better treatment to the head than the rest of
the body.
