Subject: ALCOR-- 1987-88 change in board rules?-- CPlatt's discovery!

http://www.network54.com/Forum/291677/message/1203053261/Original+Alcor+bylaws+allowed+voting+privileges+to+members

This is what I was looking for-- thanks CP! CP next
poses the relevent question....

QUOTE
This raises the next inevitable question: How were the
bylaws changed so that they disenfranchised Alcor
members and reassigned voting power to the directors
alone?
UNQUOTE

One would think that going back through the minutes
would be useful. Matt used to videotape board
meetings. Cryonet started in 1989-- too late for a
lookback on this issue... but Cryonics magazines or--
board meeting records should be looked at.

I rarely contact Alcor but in this case, it might be
useful to ask for board meetings records for 87-88. Is
that the way to go? or is there a better way?
