                         LIKE YOU HAD OTHER PLANS:
                   An Irreverent Introduction to Cryonics

Cryonic suspension is the technique of freezing the body of a
legally-deceased person for storage until medical technology advances
sufficiently to repair and revive them. Dave Krieger, science editor for
_Extropy_ magazine and a former scientific consultant to _Star Trek: The
Next Generation_, presents a light-hearted but informative introduction to
cryonics. Dave will discuss current suspension technology and the recent
technological breakthroughs that begin to show how cryonic suspension and
resuscitation could work. He also compares cryonic suspension with other
currently-available post-mortem procedures and shows why cryonics is surely
the best of the lot.
