I've noticed recently that messages from hotmail.com
addresses have been appearing, both here and in other
digests, with their carriage returns removed. Maybe
Hotmail came out with new software? I think it may
have stopped producing a plain-text version; HTML
more or less ignores carriage returns. Or maybe
there's a setting to compose messages in plain text
rather than HTML? That would be the simple solution.

Also, I make another plea to publish long, complex
URLs using SnipURL: http://snipurl.com . You can
enter any long URL and it will make a short one and
put it on your clipboard for you. With a small
amount of trouble you can have it make a prettier
name, and even put an item on your menu bar that
will let you just press "Snip!" on any Web page to
get the snipped version of its URL. I love the
21st Century!

Live long and prosper,
Kennita
