Subject: My Cryonics e-newsletter came through formatted well, no comp...

Hello, Fellow Cryonetters,

To balance the feedback...and very negative feedback...provided here about
the Cryonics Society, and their recent email blast, I thought I should
briefly add my input.

My e-newsletter came through nicely formatted, with pictures, and no
problems.

Content was reasonably informative, only occasionally populist, and clearly
did not do a disservice to the field of cryonics. You may disagree with

this. And, you are welcome to. And, you are also welcome to document exactly

what YOU have personally done to promote the field of cryonics except bitch at
folks on cryonet recently. I agree we need professionalism and image. But
we also need a larger and more cohesive group of dedicated people working on
the challenges of cryonics. And the CS folks are trying to help create this.

To those who are critical, may I point out that it is always easier to gripe
from the sidelines as opposed to trying to wade in the fray and make

something good happen. While I was also a bit concerned about the Paris Hilton
piece, the body of the article made it clear that Ms. Hilton is not actually

signing with CI at this time. It provided the actual news of the flap...which
is
news. And, admit, you were a bit titalated at this, even if you knew better.

The newsletter was not strictly directed toward fund-raising, although that
opportunity exists, and was made available.

I do agree with the Steve Bridges feedback that the principals (individuals,
not precepts of appropriate behavior) of CS should be less modest...and

easier to find in newsletter... in who they are. All of whom, by the way, are
legitimate, highly ethical and sincere cryonics advocates. I have this based
on personal knowledge and interaction with them.

In short, while providing feedback, maybe someone in the vicious pack of
wolves that sometime comprises the cryonet audience could say,

"Well done, guys...I will email you privately with some ideas you may want

to consider in future mailings, but THANK YOU for stepping up to the plate and
trying to do SOMETHING to make a positive impact in the sad state of affairs
regarding public relations and marketing in cryonics." "And, here is my

private email with some ideas and articles to consider, and a small donation to
at least let you know that your efforts are appreciated."

Since no one else has done this, on behalf of at least SOME people in
cryonics, I am doing it here.

Thank you, principals in the Cryonics Society. I liked my email newsletter.
And if I didn't, I have a delete key. Despite some feedback, you are not
spamming...you are promoting.

Rudi
