Subject: How to get more cryonicists - the easy way

There are two kinds of people in the world:

a. Those who live in a sub-society that affords them a chance to have the time,
and perhaps money, to think about more then just how to survive day to day.

b. Those who are just trying to survive day to day.
These people are not the best prospects.

====

Of the people in the a group above there are two kinds of people:

c. Those who want to live forever.

d. Those who just want to "get through" this life.
These folks are not good prospects.

====

Of the people in the c group above there are two kinds of people"

e. Those who believe they will get eternal life through some traditional
religious belief (One example: some Christians believe if they accept Jesus as
their savior they will go to Heaven and live forever).

These people might become prospects if they come to understand that their
religions instruct them to try to live as long as possible in this life and
most traditional religions do this (One Example: In the Christian Religion in
Mathew = Jesus is said to instruct his followers to "Heal the sick and raise
the Dead."

The problem with the e group is that a lot of them see cryonics as an opposite
to their religious belief, when it fact cryonics should be seen as a supplement
to their religious beliefs.

On ad created for this group might be something like "Congratulations
Christians, you have taken the first step and accepted Jesus as your savior, now
go out there and heal sick people, raise dead people and try to live in this
live as long as you can!"

But I do not believe the e group has as good of prospects for cryonics as the f
group below.

f. Those who do not believe in a religious type of afterlife.

Of the f group above there are two kinds of people:

g. Those who know about cryonics.

h. Those who don't know about cryonics.

====

Of the people in the g group there are two kinds of people.

i. Those who think cryonics might work.

j. Those who think cryonics will not work.

====

Of the people in the i group there are two kinds of people:

k. Those who think they can afford cryonics.

l. Those who think they cannot afford cryonics.

(Some people in this group think that cryonics is more expensive then it really
is AND they don't know they can pay for it in payments like making life
insurance payments).
====

Of the people in the k group there are two kinds of people:

m. Those who believe they can afford cryonics and might make adjustments in
their life to buy cryonics - if they are motivated by themselves or others to do
so.

n. Those who think they can afford it but want to spend their money on other
things in life and keep putting it off.

====

Action Plan:

Find people in the m group and market to them.

As a marketing person I believe one of the keys in marketing to make a company's
marketing efforts pay off is to find a way to do it in a cost effective way.
Being cost effective is very important in marketing.

So Cryonics companies should put aside a fund of, say, 10% of all money that
comes in every month to use for marketing to the m group.

Next, the cryonics companies must create effective and motivating messages to
send to these people. As the marketing brings in more of the people from the m
group there will be more money coming in from sign ups, of which 10% of that new
money can go to future marketing, and so the plan pays for itself and generates
more money over time.
