Subject: how to plant the cryonics seed in young minds

I agree that getting through to youngsters is vital for longterm growth.
However, this is a crop that will only come to fruition decades down the road.
Yet we must plant that seed. But how?

One aspect of cryonics is the adventure-exploration aspect of it. Males have
always been the explorers of the species. That is part of our genetic makeup.
And cryonics could be marketed to youth in that way--as part of a great
adventure into the future. Depict cryonics as a great adventure into the sci-fi
future. But how to spread the word cheaply?

Here is one way to do it: offer cryonics associate memberships. Youths could
sign up as associates, for free, and then would be given access to marketing
materials and encouraged/incentivized to spread the good word about cryonics to
their age cohort. Merit badges or trinkets/goodies, etc or their equivalent,
could be dispensed to associated upon satisfactory offer of proof by an
associate that he/she had spread the cryonics word, or acted as a cryonics
ambassador in some respect. For example, if they had given an in-class speech
about cryonics etc.

In return for a satisfactorily completed associate membership, associates would
be contractually granted a future discount on future full membership, should
they ever apply and be accepted. For example, if an associate completes a full
year membership, and wins a badge, etc, he/she could be granted a 15 percent on
yearly dues, or perhaps instead they could be granted a 5 percent discount on
the required death benefit amount.

Sure, kids might lose interest in it after a year or two, but that is not the
issue. The issue is planting that seed. And what better way to spread the word
among the youth age group than via youths.
