It's been quite a few years since I've posted here but as you'll
hopefully agree necessity is the mother of invention. My desire to
publicize my upcoming pro-cryonics novel was the necessity and my old
stomping grounds seemed a perfect segue-way to that invention. I'm
honored to introduce a cryonics POSITIVE novel coming out from Tor
called, The Unincorporated Man. I know for a fact it's a positive
view, because along with my brother I've just spent the past 5 years
writing it! It's possible I'll get flamed for so blatant a pitch but
those of you who recognize my name and the many debates I've had on
this posting will know that I rarely, if ever, use my words cheaply.
This is a book written by 2 current cryonics members (CI), that will
be published by the largest Science FIction (yes, I know it's a dirty
word but I'll take that - if it means spreading that word far and
wide) publishing house in the world, edited by one of the most
respected editors in the business (3x Hugo award winner, David
Hartwell). I say all this not only to toot my own horn (let's be
honest) but to toot that of cryonics as well. While the novel is not
cryonics-centric (the nature of liberty and freedom is) the theme of
cryonics and the idiocy of society's "accept death" meme runs strongly
through it. I thought you'd want to know.

Thanks for your time,

Dani Kollin
P.S. I wish I could promise that I'll be back in the thick of the
debate here but the vicissitudes of life have kept me a reader rather
than a poster. With two more novels coming out (Tor bought 3) and
three kids under 11 to deal with, I don't see life slowing down enough
jump back into the fray. But I'll keep perusing.
