I enjoy a good story, but what scares me is that people really do think like
this.

They think that granting immortality to "mortals" would automatically come with
a horrible Faustian price to pay.

The story does not take into account the existence of a more advanced
understanding of psychology in the future. People who have been alive for 500
years will tend to have a greater, rather than lesser understanding of human
nature.

Furthermore, irrational violence is neurological in nature, and an advanced
understanding of neurology will be necessary to bring people back. The perfect

society finding themselves unprepared for cryos is not a very credible scenario
in
my opinion.
