Maybe Professor Qin-Bin Lu is right, but Lawrence Solomon, the author of the
press story based on Lu's article is also author of
"The Deniers: The world-renowned scientists who stood up against global
warming hysteria, political persecution, and fraud."

There is an issue with some of the data used, which some regard as
unreliable. It will be 3 years before more could be gathered, according to
the press article.

A somewhat Orwellian viewpoint can be found here:

Global warming is dead. Long live global cooling :-)

I see that films and tv series about fictional post apocalyptic scenarios
are due for release soon. Yet another version of John Wyndham's "The Day of
the Triffids" was shown on UK television recently, and no doubt will appear
around the world.

I wonder whether all this misses the point that in approx 100 years the
entire world population will be dead. The war should not be against
different ideologies, warming, cooling or whatever, but against age related
health decline. It is certain to exterminate everyone, wheras geophysical
phenomena that are longer than a human lifespan are not.

The following sounds plausible. This also implies that global warming is
history.

Climate change is real and man-made, explains University of Waterloo
professor Qin-Bin Lu, author of a new study published this week in the
peer-reviewed journal, Physics Reports.
Professor Lu also explains that the climate change crisis is over. Thanks to
an international environmental treaty, the planet is no longer in peril. We
have, in fact, begun a long cooling period that will bring Earth's
temperatures back to normal.
The man-made cause of global warming is not CO2 and the international treaty
that saved the planet is not the Kyoto Protocol. Rather, says Dr. Lu, the
true cause of global warming has been CFCs, or chlorofluorocarbons,
