Why is this matter even worthy of serious debate? What are we supposed to
believe, that someday nanotechnology will be able to repair a frozen human
brain, the most complex object in the known universe but will be stumped at
providing a replacement for the big toe so the original must be maintained? And
yes Cryonics has its gruesome aspects, but is anyone suggesting that the
traditional ways of dealing with a dead body, burning it up or letting it rot,
do not? This is a matter of life or death and if critical thinking is ever
required it is needed on this question. Pandering to the ignorant for public
relation purposes is all very well but getting rid of the nero option would be
brain dead dumb.
