trivia tend to dominate CryoNet, day after day, month after month, and
year after year.

The actual science behind it is complicated and difficult to understand without
a lot of background knowledge and "reading around the subject". People want to
have a sense of involvement, and so discuss issues on the periphery, ie
management and administrative matters.

Many people interested in cryonics are also involved with the mathematics based
sciences, which give clearly defined results, whereas biology and related
subjects is a descriptive science based on lots of knowledge where results are
often based on statistical arithmetic. Indeed some doctors regard medicine as
more of an art than science.
