X-Message-Number: 3556 Date: Sat, 31 Dec 1994 01:09:06 -0500 (EST) From: Charles Platt <> Subject: CRYONICS: Pseudoscience and Trivia I have a suggestion for Mr. Coetzee and Mr. Bozzonetti. If you are both serious about cryonics (as you seem to be), would you consider devoting your energies toward an existing cryonics group, instead of posting frivolous messages here which waste bandwidth and valuable time? I admire your dedication and imagination, but all of your "scientific" speculations have been conclusively debunked by people, here, who seem knowledgable in their fields. Would it not be a better idea to devote yourselves to projects where your talents are more appropriate to the jobs which need to be done? I realize it may seem presumptuous of me to advise other people how to spend their time, but it does seem rather pointless to have a long succession of posts here which turn out to be not science, but pseudoscience. It also wastes the time of people who write rebuttals, and last (by no means least) it merely confirms the "crackpot" image of cryonics in the minds of people who may casually browse through CryoNet. ############################################################ Charles Platt, 1133 Broadway (room 1214), New York, NY 10010 Voice: 212 929 3983 Fax: 212 929 4467 Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=3556
