I am sorry, but it must be said:

Some people also may be put off cryonics entirely by the prices 
charged for neurosuspension when they could have whole body from the 
Cryonics Institute for a little over half this! I respect the reasons for 
CI not offering neurosuspension, but it would certainly be interesting to 
see what would happen if $10k neuros were available whether the take up 
would spread to a new market.

This brings in the other problem in that if cryonics really took hold of 
the public imagination and was "professionalised" in the same way medicine 
and the law have been, then prices will rise by ten to fifteen times the 
current norms. A negative feedback system would result in only the 
hyper-rich and those supported by charity or the state being able to afford 
it. Prices would rise by another order of magnitude as professionalisation 
would have to be maintained with a customer base diminished by the first 
price hike.
