Mr Kreznar's views would be workable in a fully libertarian world; but in a
libertarian world the issue of political purity would not arise.
We should get involved in the coercive political system only to the
extend that doing so has a good prospect of enhancing or protecting freedom.
As an example, supporting a specific initiative is better than voting for a
politician.
The only point of disagreement I have with Al Lopp, is where he
suggests we express our appreciation for Senator Watson's involvement. I don't
welcome it at all. I might welcome attention from a politician who I knew would
strongly support our rights. Otherwise, by all means write to her with
suggestions as to how to handle legislation, but thanking your rulers is a bit
much.
