Surely not all cryonics patients suffer terminal illnesses. What
about being suddenly killed by an injury? As a young person, and as
someone at low risk for AIDS, I think that for the next few decades
I'm at far greater risk of being killed in an accident than of dying
of a disease.

For myself, my main cryonics concern isn't extended pre-mortem shock,
but rather the response time of my cryonics provider if I'm suddenly
killed in an accident here in Virginia.
