X-Message-Number: 4550 From: Peter Merel <> Subject: CRYONICS Dog Reservoirs Date: Mon, 26 Jun 1995 01:25:14 +1000 (EST) On dogs: I'm no expert - my observations were gleaned from stuff I read on sci.anthropology.paleo about six months ago. If Steve Harris has the goods on canid stamina, I'm happy to yield - I was really only trying to explain Mike Darwin's unprotected heads. I should suggest that Steve compare the Iditterrod performance with some of the ultramarathons that are run regularly - the one that's best known in Australia is from Sydney to Melbourne, a distance of about 1000K, which I seem to recall the winners make in four or five days. We're probably comparing apples and oranges, and the relevance to cryonics is tenuous, but since I've kicked up such a fuss I'll see if I can find the exact stats on the race record. -- Internet: | Accept Everything. | http://www.usyd.edu.au/~pete/ | Reject Nothing. | Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=4550
