     Dear Mr.Ettinger:

We have an impression from preview of the comments of M.D. and G.Fahy
(that we can make out) that they have seen only poor quality of scanner
copies of our photos (but it is impossible to make good quality of such
a type of copies; it is necessary to see the original photos especially
the electron ones). And they didn't most likely read at all our description
of the photos in our reports. Here are some examples. They said "What is
this?" about NN 11-14 (pituitary tissue) and found sections of axons,
myelinated tract and nerve bundle there! Mike found "ice hole" in N 12 and
Greg said "Pituitary gland is well preserved, I think" in N 27 but these
photos are of native tissue without freezing!
We'll in detail answer their comments after printing some photos. We'll be
able to sent to them the glossy photos of moot points (f.e. artifacts,
postmortem change and injuries from freezing), if it will be necessary.

Best wishes-- Yu. Pichugin and G. Zhegunov

Mike and Thomas--

I replied that Mike and Greg had received glossies and had said those looked
even worse than the scanner copies. We will gradually get the facts straight.

Bob
