X-Message-Number: 4904 Date: Fri, 22 Sep 1995 21:23:56 -0400 (EDT) From: Robin Helweg-Larsen <> Subject: Dentistry I swear I read 15 years ago that the Russians had successfully transplanted the "seeds" of teeth (but from where? - dead kids who hadn't got their adult teeth yet?) into the gums of adults who had lost teeth, and had them develop correctly with no problem. As my dentist says, given what people can do these days, that one ought to be a slam-dunk; but he doesn't recall reading anything about it. Anyone know about this? Are there problems with it? Or are we pushing up against something that people are just uncomfortable with? And if so, is there a cryonics message here?
