Subject: reversible freezing of an human heart

                                                        I have read in the
french newspaper FRANCE-SOIR of Monday, October 9, 1995, the following :

                                                        "At the VERWOERD
HOSPITAL of PRETORIA, in the South AFRICA, Dr Olga VISSER has found a
cry-protective agent that has allowed to return back to life after thawing, an
human heart which has been frozen in LN2
                                                          The first tests have
been made on pig hearts in August with this cryoprotector. An human heart has
been after this frozen, thawed and revived. However, it has not been
reimplanted in a human organism "

                                                          I dont endorse the
responsibility of this information.

                                                          Anatole
