Subject: The Growth Of Cryonics

I don't think it's profitable to debate, or even discuss, our ideas about
how fast cryonics is likely to grow. Thoms Donaldson has his ideas about the
likely effect of advances in cryonics technology on growth and I
have mine.
Predictions about the future may be interesting, but they don't produce
change--actions do! I hope we can all agree on the following:
	1) Advances in cryonics technology will increase our chances of survival
	2) Advances in cryonics technology will improve the credibility of
cryonics
	3) Advances in cryonics technology is likely to occur faster if we put
time, money and effort into it
	4) The more time, money and effort we put into cryonics technology, the
faster progress is likely to occur.
It's been said that I am an "optimist". But to me, optimism or pessimism
are both largely irrelevant. As I see it, the worse things look, the more we
have to work, and the better things look, the more we have to work.
Lyndon Johnson used to say that, if we do everything we possibly can, we
will win.
I think we need to do everything we possibly can.
