The Prometheus Project:

      Convincingly demonstrated, scientifically proven and published,
      fully reversible brain cryopreservation within 10 years.

Latest Pledge Totals

     As of midnight EDT July 11, 1996, the total of pledges is $137,000.00
per year for each of 10 years. A joint $1000.00 per year pledge was received
from Daniel Jacobs and Randy Smith who collaborated via the Internet (see
other message for details). In addition, a $1000.00 per year pledge for 10
years was made by Marce and Walt Johnson who have not access to the Internet.
But have been informed of the Prometheus Project by phone and snail mail. My
sincere thanks to all of these pledgers for ending a two day pledge drought.

Pledge totals in each category are:

          10 for $10,000.00 per year for 10 years,
          4 for $5,000.00 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $4,000.00 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $3,000.00 per year for 10 years,
          10 for $1,000.00 per year for 10 years.

The 26 pledges total $1,370,000.00 over all ten years.


My Plea for More and Bigger Pledges

Come on cryonicists put your money where your mouth is.

I don't believe that all netters are penniless tech/nerds.
I am certain that many of you have sizeable incomes, probably a lot more
sizeable than I do. And I'm not even asking for a penny of it until you are
sold on the accomplishability of the project goals.

If you are not sold on my arguments for the importance of this project and
that you should even be willing to reduce your life-style in order to give
yourself so much more chance for a vastly extended life, then at least tell
me why. Where am I wrong?

Where are all the many who love to talk and debate so much in this forum when
I want them?
