The Prometheus Project tries to offer at least two possible benefits: One
it might save someone's life through perfected cryonics; and, it might make
money for its investors in the conventional medical arena in organ
transplants.

I do not think the project will get started without the support of all the
cryonics suspensions organizations. The project would need their
individual support and need them spending time encouraging their members to
support the project.

So the problems seems to me to discover a way to motivate the suspension
organizations to get involved - but most of them (maybe none of them) can
afford $100,000 per year - at least right now.

One way to make this work might be to offer royalty-free use of the
technology on a graduating scale to all suspension organizations who enter
in the first year and then graduate up their investments each year. For
instance: The first year the suspension organization might have to pledge
$10,000, then $20,000 the second year, then $30,000 the third year, then
$40,000 the forth year, maybe $50,000 the fifth year, and $100,000 each
year after that until 10 years is over.

If the organization fails to make any of its graduated pledges, it is out.

Even with this, I doubt that the project will raise $1,000,000 in the first
few years. Even if it can't raise $1,000,000 the first years, if it could
raise 1/2 million the first few years and then graduate up to $1,000,000
per year after a few years, it might still be worth doing.

Another form of the graduated pledge might be offered to
everyone at $10,000 and over. Where they start off pledging $10,000 a year
for the first 3 or 4 years and then increase it.

I hope you find these suggestions of some value to your group.
