	A major thrust of the project will be development of methods 
for in-situ cryopreservation of the brain-- deep cooling the brain
of large mammals while leaving the rest of the body warm enough to
avoid damage.  This would allow post-preservation mental functions 
to be evaluated in an intact animal.
