I know that you have to propose new usenet groups in alt.config (and a vote is required before they can be newgroup'd), but I don't know if a vote needs to be taken to moderate an unmoderated newsgroup. Does anyone know? In my opinion, the anonymous poster has demonstrated their incompetence and some of the replies they got were pretty good too. They at least demonstrate that you can't just knock over the idea of cryonics without a serious and substantive argument! For me though, it's fairly easy to just delete the offensive news and establish a global killfile which is what I'd recommend others do as well. -dc -------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Cosenza 1264-bit Key fingerprint = BF 6C AA 44 C6 CA 13 3F 4A EC 0A 90 AE F3 74 6D 4096-bit Key fingerprint = A4 79 15 79 D2 73 7D 3F 34 88 2E ED 93 6F 46 B1 "When encryption is outlawed, only outlaws will have encryption."
