Well, I do have a talent for irritating sacred cows... Relavancy is related to point of view. I take a rather long perspective, towards the day that nanotechnology can live up to its promises re cryonics. Reversible brain cryopreservation is all to the good, but the deanimation process for me means cessation of my brin's function - with damage included. The repair of that damage I do not see as likely by strictly medical and healing approaches; thus my enthusiasm for nanotechnology. My personal imaganing is that my frozen brain is read or scanned into an upload simulation, and within that context I experience revival and discuss with my restoration technician the available options. In the mean time, my time is limited, and with the PP taking over 50% of this list's bandwidth, I thought I would put in my frozen nickel's worth. BTW, thanks for the info re the PP mailing list, I probably overlooked it, so how about briefly posting access to same here?
