The Prometheus Project:

      Convincingly demonstrated, scientifically proven and published,
      fully reversible long-term brain cryopreservation within 10 years.

Latest Pledge Totals

     As of midnight PDT August 15, 1996, the total of pledges is $304,200 per
year for each of 10 years. Tim Freeman announced his pledge of $2000 per year
Tuesday Aug 13 in Cryomsg 6736 and thus joined his wife Ai-Ling among the
pledgers. I am now left wondering when their 18 month old son is going to
complete the family pledging :-). Then tonight, by word of mouth when I
picked him up at the airport, Steve Harris told me that he was pledging $1000
per year.

     Pledge totals in each dollar level are now:

          3 for $50,000 per year for 10 years,
          8 for $10,000 per year for 10 years,
          7 for $5,000 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $4,000 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $3,000 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $2,500 per year for 10 years,
          4 for $2,000 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $1,200 per year for 10 years,
          20 for $1,000 per year for 10 years,
          1 for $500 per year for 10 years.

The 47 pledges total $3,042,000 over all ten years.

     Pledge totals per year by national origin:

     Australia                  $4,500
     Canada                    $22,000
     France                     $2,000
     Sweden                     $1,000
     United States            $269,700
     No country                 $5,000

Even though we have support from Australia, Canada, France and Sweden, none
has yet appeared from the UK. I find this a bit surprising since I know that
there are many dedicated and serious cryonicists in the UK. What is holding
you back? Are you going to sit there and let France, Sweden and your former
"colonies" Australia and Canada out-pledge you? ;)
