X-Message-Number: 6778 From: John de Rivaz <> Newsgroups: sci.cryonics Subject: New Zealand Doctor magazine article Date: Fri, 16 Aug 1996 10:03:47 +0100 Message-ID: <> The magazine "New Zealand Doctor" carried an article "Death is not terminal: God Invented Freezers" concerning cryonics. The author wrote under a pen name "Retractor" and apparently communicated with someone by the name of Mike on the Internet to gather his information. he compared cryonicists with explorers, and the article was jokey but reasonably balanced. It ended with ".. as happens with most things you become educated about, I decided that freezers are not nutters but pioneers. The whole shooting box is like the space programme, and no doubt will have important spinoffs." Unfortunately the article provided no contact points and erroneously stated that cryonics was not available in Australasia, but that there is a "special interest society" in Australia. However the link to the Internet would probably put interested people right. -- Sincerely, **************************************** * Publisher of Longevity Report * John de Rivaz * Fractal Report * * details on request * **************************************** In the information age, sharing can increase world wealth enormously, because giving information does not decrease your information. http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohndeR Fast loading, very few slow pictures Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=6778
