Subject: Supreme Court to decide physician-assisted suicide

The United States Supreme Court announced today that it would hear the
appeals against the decisions of the 9th and 2nd Circuit Courts of Appeal
that states could not prohibit physician-assisted suicide for terminally
ill, competent, adult patients. This means that the practice will remain
illegal within those Circuit states until a decision is reached, possibly
next summer.
