Real estate. Even if we terraform planets, build ringworlds, and have the whole galaxy within easy reach, some neighborhoods will still be more desirable than others, and will command a premium price. The people living in most areas will not consider themselves wealthy, and the proof will be that they are living where they are living and cannot afford the most desirable.
