Hi again!

Oh dear, I see arguments brewing on Cryonet again.

First we have Steve Harris about Bob Ettinger's ideas (not really a first: Bob
made some slighting comments about Steve in a prior posting). Now we see
Charles Platt having at Bob Ettinger.

I do believe it's possible to find positive things in the postings of all of
these people. When they are not touched by their emotions, they can all say
quite perceptive things. But there is still a sourness which leaves me
uncomfortable. Here we are, trying to build our little lifeboat against
Death, and we stop and argue about trivialities.

I don't want to present myself here as an angel commenting on the faults of
the human beings below him. I too can and have said things which I later
regreted, and other things which I may not regret but should. It's just that
I don't log onto Cryonet to see others doing the same thing.

Perhaps Kevin should set up a separate net location where we can go to act
out our anger, just as many Japanese companies set up a separate room for just
that purpose. We might call it CryoSpleen. Maybe he can even set things up
so that we can easily find ourselves in CryoSpleen before we get into Cryonet,
and thus be able to be more constructive when we reach Cryonet. Maybe we can
even get a small business going: dolls of each of the participants, which you
can buy to stick pins in whenever the urge takes you. They'd be easy to make:
just buy a rag doll and paste a picture of the face of whoever on its face.

Best and long long life to all,
