Subject: CRYONICS: In Re: Genetic Cryonics

Michael Paulle writes about the lack of response to most attempts to
bring cryonics into the public consciousness.

I postulate that the problem is that the service isn't being
advertised.

Many people have heard of the idea of cryonics, generally without
giving much thought to it because they aren't aware of how good the
evidence is for it. Other people know a little more, but haven't been
pushed in the right direction. The average person who even might be
aware of the possibility probably hasn't even got a clue about who to
contact to make arrangements.

I suspect that a well targeted advertising campaign might just do the
trick.

Think about it. If you want people to know about your product and look
into it, you have to SELL it. People don't get most ideas the first or
even the tenth time around. Once people have seen a few dozen network
television ads, though, they are a lot more likely to look into the
possibility of joining up.

I bet that there is little about cryonics that a good advertising
agency and a 2 million dollar ad budget couldn't cure.
