Polydimethyl siloxanes (silicone oils that are physically
similar to freons) are now used by most cryonics organizations
for sub-zero cooling of cryonics patients. The only difference
between your suggestion and contemporary cryonics practice is
that the skull and viscera are not opened to improve cooling
because the small improvement would not justify the surgical
complications and cooling delays they would entail.
