While I agree "that it is exciting to see developments in AI" and have no
problem with his posting this information to CryoNet, I do not agree that
AI, in the sense of computer hardware/software with conscious, human-like
or better powers of induction and deduction, "will be necessary for
recovery of those in cryonic suspension". Even full-blown Drexlerian
nanotechnology will not require AI, and it may be possible to recover many
of those in suspension (to the extent that their minds are recoverable at
all -- and that's the biggest unknown), by the use of the extensions and
extrapolations of biotechnology which are being discovered and invented
daily.
