Well maybe that is a small part of the problem. I would submit that there
is a shortage of researchers *mostly* because there is a shortage of money
to hire the researchers, (and buy equipment and supplies.)

If we really want to improve our chances of survival we are going to have to
raise the money ourselves. All the rest of the discussions on this net is
for our mutual entertainment.

How can we get more money for research?

1. Better fundraising methods. Maybe try bring in professionals?

2. Bigger memberships. (they help us gather more money).

3. Better PR.

4. Better cooperation between all the cryonicists.

On #4, I would like to see some sharing of various talents. People who are
good at getting new prospects to join cryonics might bring new prospects to
cryonics in general rather than just one organization.

People who are good at engineering might help those who are not.

People who are good at *doing* (not just the research and planning)
suspension might share and help others.

People who are good at research might share.

People who are good at fundraising might share.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

One way to help bring this together might be the Prometheus Project or
something like it, but with all of its features and more. For instance
this type of project might lead to the formation of a unified movement with
cooperation and accord in many areas.

Somebody pinch me.
