X-Message-Number: 763 Subject: CRYONICS - ALAVIE Building Closes From: (Edgar W. Swank) Date: Thu, 23 Apr 92 11:37:50 PDT I'm happy to announce that the investment group ALAVIE has closed escrow and now is the official owner of the new building in Sunnyvale. The purchase price can now be revealed. $1,250,000. This computes to about $33.16/sq. foot. Compare this "overpriced California real estate" to the $43/sq ft for the building Alcor was considering in Scottsdale or the $41 and $36/sq ft for the buildings in Tempe mentioned by Michael Paulle. Since the move to Scottsdale has been canceled (as I gather from reading here), presumably Alcor is again looking for new quarters. I have checked with Carmen Brewer, founder of Alavie; she tells me Alcor would be welcome as a tenant in our new building. Tentative monthly lease rates: Warehouse: .40/sq foot. Lab: .49/sq foot. Office: .75/sq foot. These are all negotiable. Especially the office rate may be discounted as part of a package of lab and/or warehouse space. By the way, the warehouse space has four enormous roll-up exterior doors. To get more information or schedule a showing contact: Carmen Brewer 15045 Herring Ave. San Jose, CA 95124 (408)559-3596 I'm told Saul Kent will be visiting the building Monday 4/27 at 4pm. -- (Edgar W.
