Subject: Cryonics and Religion

While I believe that cryonics needs to develop ways of
dealing with religion (instead of ignoring it like we do now),
depicting cryonics as in *competition* with religion is a mistake.
Cryonics must be sold as a product that is compatible with religion,
not as a hedge against it.

To put this in perspective, imagine a doctor trying to
convince a dying patient to try a painful and expensive experimental
treatment. The doctors says, "You really should try this new
round of chemotherapy because your belief in life-after-death might
be wrong! In fact, there are very good reasons to believe that
your religion is wrong...."
