As I communicated to Mike Perry, I believe this idea, like all other areas of cryonics, suffers from horrendous diseconomies of scale that can only be remedied by a 10-fold increase in membership, which in turn can only be remedied by research advances. I also share Thomas' observations about FDA and bans on cloning being only the latest incursion on liberty. If one defines "bioethicist" as someone who believes he or she is qualified to make biomedical decisions for another when the rights of a third party are not at stake, then Thomas is asking for a libertarian socialist/elitist to step forward. Hopefully, that is oxymoronical. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=7824
