Hi again!

Perhaps I focused too much on the particular in my comments about a Venturist
"domicile". Regardless of what you call it, I doubt that I would care if I
had come there to be near Alcor while I myself knew I'd need to be suspended
in the near future. I even believe I could justify what I said by using a
dictionary, but that's hardly the point. What a place for people to come to
before suspension must have is different from simply a home where several
people live together with whatever arrangement.

As for "bioethics" and how governments intervene in our control of our bodies,
even the issue with motorcycle helmets is an invasion. I do not own or ride
a motorcycle, and regardless of what the Federal government told me to do
I would wear a helmet. The point is that there is a compulsion here, not what
we are being compelled to do. As for the FDA, I assumed that those present
knew it was an American bureaucracy. Since I was discussing how one government
(that of the US) already claims to exercise control over what we do with our
own bodies, the fact that it was American has no relevance I can see.

Although I am familiar with the Australian situation I can't claim any
familiarity with government activities in England. I'd bet, though, that the
UK government interferes with the life of English citizens just as much, and
UK pollies are just as eager to extend that interference, for one claimed
reason or another.

			Long long life,
