SENATE DEBATE ON EUTHANASIA BILL THIS WEEK

Debate over three evenings this week in the Senate will
determine the fate of the world's first voluntary
          euthanasia law.

The Senate will debate the Andrews Bill which seeks to
override the Northern Territory's Right to die law and
prevent other Territories making similar laws.

It follows a Senate Inquiry which held public hearings
in Darwin and Canberra, and received a record 12 and a
          half thousand written submissions.

It's still unknown whether intense lobbying from the
Northern Territory will see the senate debate broadcast
          in Darwin.

Four people have so far used the law.
