X-Message-Number: 7878 Date: Mon, 17 Mar 97 12:51:01 From: Mike Perry <> Subject: Music Article I'm now trying to put together another "For the Record" column for *Cryonics* magazine. This time the topic is to be "Musical Creativity in Cryonics." In fact this is a recurring phenomenon among cryonicists, one that doesn't seem to have had much recognition thus far. The amount and level of output varies quite a bit; I'm not looking just for professionals here, but wish to chronicle people who may have composed only once or twice in their life. To anybody this applies to: I'd be interested in any comments you might have re your efforts in music composition, background, thoughts on any possible tie-ins with cryonics, etc. and also any short section of a composition of yours for an illustration. (Another possibility: if you know of someone else, perhaps now frozen, who composed music, that is of interest too. The only such person I know of is Joe Cannon, who was recently suspended, and I already have his two walzes and some commentary. Also, I can't promise I'll use all material received; space is limited, but I'll try to give credit where due.) Thanks much.
