Subject: any chance?

On my way in to check my E-mail today (Easter Sunday) I passed a lot of
church parking lots that were packed.

I have had this long standing frustration with organized religion. I
assume many of the religious leaders are sincere (of course that are a few
that are not).

So assuming the leaders really want to help the followers obtain
eternal life, the fact that the leaders participate in promising the
followers eternal life if the followers merely follow certain church rules
may be distracting those same followers from investigating cryonics which
may be the only chance to escape death at this time.

In other words, nice people wanting to help others may be causing those
others to miss out on what they all way.

I find this ironic, sad and horrible.

Some cryonicists have discussed (many times) if there is some way to change
this situation and no one has come up with a possible successful plan at
this early time in cryonics and immortalism. In fact, many think it would
be counterproductive to try.

I believe that there is a better chance for getting religious people
interested in cryonics by going through the church than by going direct to
the lay persons. I just don't know how to do it - yet.
