X-Message-Number: 844 From: Kevin Q. Brown Subject: Re: USENET Cryonics Newsgroup Date: 22 May 1992 The USENET sci.med cryonics controversy which arose from Keith Henson's informal query about creation of a sci.med.cryonics newsgroup has generated well over 400KB of messages so far. You can get the entire set by sending email to me with the Subject line "CRYOMSG 0011". If you already have a previous version of message 0011, then send email to me with the Subject line "CRYOMSG 0000" to find which of the "incrementals" 0011.1, ... 0011.11, etc. you want to retrieve and then send the appropriate CRYOMSG email to me for those versions. Several members of this mailing list have done a great job debating the opposition in sci.med. My recent posting to the USENET sci.cryonics newsgroup announcing a Request For Discussion for creation of a USENET sci.cryonics (not sci.med.cryonics) newsgroup has generated some interesting response. For details, send email to me with the Subject line "CRYOMSG 0012". (It currently totals only about 20K bytes of messages, so I have not been creating daily "incrementals" for this discussion.)
