  Correction to my previous message - in practice, to do the factoring, one
would run the QC enough times to get high likelihood that all the bits were
read correctly, and then check the answer gotten by putting together the best
guess for each bit.  If this doesn't work, one knows some of the bits were
wrong, so one runs the QC some more to get better statistics, then tries
again, etc.  The principle is the same but the probability of getting the
right answer rises for each run (but never quite reaches 1) instead of being
constant as I said before.
